Update on Cat Food Deal at Walmart

On 3/1 I posted a deal on cat food at Walmart.  I was able to get 20 boxes today for $15.80 plus tax.  I made a miscalculation on the previous post.  The cat food retails for $2.79, so after the $2.00 coupon it was $0.79 for a one pound box.  Overall, I got 20 pounds which will last us about four month for our kitties.  Usually a fifteen pound bag of this kind of cat food costs at least $20.00, and fifteen pounds usually lasts us about three months.  Hopefully I can get 20 more before the coupons expire on 4/6/12.  =)

 

Cat Food Deal at Walmart!

A great coupon for cat food came out in this past Sunday paper! PurinaOne Beyond put out a $2.00/1 any size any variety cat food or any 3 lb bag or larger dry dog food. This deal is best for the cat food. The small boxes retail at walmart for $2.57. Using this coupon, you can get a box for only $0.57! I love the dog food they put out and am looking forward to stocking up on this for my cats. Head over to coupondede.com or eBay to pick up a couple coupons for your furbabies. 🙂

HOT coupons

I found some great high dollar coupons on eBay today and had to share.

First, there is a great $0.50/1 12-pack dr. Pepper coupon. If you use this at kroger, it will double to $1.00. The super bowl is coming up soon, so I’d hold onto these until pepsi and dr. Pepper products go on sale 4/$11. They don’t expire until 2/29 and if you wait for the sale you can get 4 12-packs for as low as $7.00.

Second, there is a new purinaOne coupon out for $5.00 any size any flavor dry dog food. The small bags typically run around $6.50 at walmart. Coupled with this coupon, you can get a 3.5 lb bag of dog food for $1.50!! That makes this a GREAT stockpile item.

This past Sunday there was another buy 3 get 1 free whiskas tray coupon. These normally sell at walmart for $0.47 apiece. If you use the coupon, you can get 4 trays for $0.35 apiece! Our cats love these trays as the meat seems much fresher than in the cheaper tin cans. I will be stocking up on these again soon!

If you have any leftover &1.00/1 finish coupons, you should use them at rite aid this week. All finish products are bogo. The 10 pack finish quantum retails for $3.99 apiece. There is a $1.00 rite aid coupon tan you can use 1 (possibly two, but I’m not very familiar with rite aid’s coupon policy) $1.00/1 manufacturer coupons which will make them $0.99 apiece!!!! This is a FABULOUS deal as I can’t live without my finish now!

Kroger just sent out new $5/$25 purchase coupons, too. I got mine today, so be on the lookout if you normally get the send outs.

Walmart Coupon Policy

Walmart can be extremely strict on their coupon policy when they want to be, and the cashiers typically are misinformed on how the coupon policies work.  Almost every time I use multiple coupons at Walmart the cashier tries to reject them because they believe “per purchase” means “per transaction”.  Walmart has finally posted an official coupon policy.  Here are some highlights.

• WALMART DOES ALLOW OVERAGES!!!
• Walmart does accept internet/print at home coupons, but will NOT accept competitor coupons.  They WILL however accept CATs and coupons that state an item can be sold for a certain price.
• Any transaction where 40 or more coupons are used, a coupon worth more than $20.00, or more than $50.00 worth of coupons require customer service supervisor or manager approval.
• Walmart will not accept expired coupons.
• All coupons must be legible and have “manufacturer coupon” stamped somewhere on the coupon.
